Spurs Trying Hard To Tie Up Christian Eriksen

Denmark Midfielder Christian Eriksen Is Set For a Long Stay at White Hart Lane.

Tottenham are hopeful Denmark midfielder Christian Eriksen, 26, will sign a contract long-term extension at Tottenham following Dele Alli's commitment to the London club.
Spurs have opened talks with the player last season and an agreement to extend his £70,000-a-week deal has not been reached with the Dane's representatives.

The London club is hopeful to make the playmaker the second highest earner behind Harry Kane in order to fend off interests from both Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona in 26-year-old Christian Eriksen. The Dane has established himself the one of the finest midfielders since joining the north London club from Ajax in 2013.

Eriksen has recently suffered an abdominal injury for the past month and Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino has said the play is fit. The Dane is a keyplayer at the North London club and with him being fit means Spurs can find form again as they are currently not doing well against the top 6.
